Following her mother’s passing, sightings of these graceful birds brought Jennifer comfort and a sense of connection while walking beside a river.
Later that same year, on Jennifer’s birthday, two valued clients visited the gallery to commission a sculpture of a heron preparing for flight. Their request felt especially meaningful and inspired the creation of this piece, a second heron sculpture, created as a birthday gift for Jennifer. In honour of her mother, Norma reflects the enduring connection we carry with those we love. It is a tribute to memory, hope, and the belief that the people who shape our lives remain with us always.
