Graceful Reeds brings a sense of calm and balance to any outdoor space. With its slender, flowing form, this sculpture captures the quiet rhythm of reeds (also called bullrush, cat tails, rushes, and raupō) swaying in the breeze, a timeless reflection of nature’s grace and simplicity.
Whether placed among native plantings, around the edge of water, or standing as a statement piece, this piece invites a moment of stillness and connection. Handcrafted with artisan skill and care, each stem and curve evokes the serenity of water and the beauty found in gentle motion.
The concept for this piece was born from the movement of reeds along lake edges and their elegance in the wind symbolising harmony and resilience.
This artwork is available in three standard sizes and can also be custom-made to suit your space. Each piece is handcrafted in corten steel (designed to weather naturally over time), or stainless steel (for consistent shine and glistening in the sun). The baseplate/ground footprint is approximately 400mm², and the air space depth and width of the sculpture is 600mm for any height, as the fronds arc outwards from the base.
